Terms for studios
Version 2026-09-30. These rules apply in addition to the privacy policy. They are written in plain language and are not a substitute for legal advice.
Who these terms are for
They apply to everyone who asks for or uses a studio account on Ink-It: owners, managers and employees of a tattoo studio, and companies with several studios. By sending a claim you confirm that you are allowed to act for the studio (or company) you name and that these terms apply to it. If you act for a company, you confirm you may bind it.
What Ink-It is
Ink-It is a tool for people planning a tattoo. A studio account lets a studio edit its public listing, add artists, receive appointment requests and Ink-Cards from users, keep a calendar, answer reviews and book labelled promotion. Ink-It only passes requests on: an appointment, a tattoo and its price are always agreed directly between the studio and the customer, and Ink-It is not a party to that contract and not responsible for it.
Claiming a studio
The Ink-It team checks every claim by hand and may ask for proof, decline it or link the studio later. Give correct and complete information. A studio can have only one owner account; if someone else already owns your studio, contact support. A studio account belongs to the studio, not to a person: keep the login safe, use two-factor login and remove managers who leave.
Artists
Artists control their own profile and their own pictures. A studio only sees or shows an artist’s work while the artist has linked themselves to it with their one-time code. When an artist leaves, the link ends and the studio can’t keep showing them or their pictures. Do not pressure artists to hand over codes, and never use a code for someone who did not give it to you.
Requests, Ink-Cards and customer data
When a user sends you an appointment request or an Ink-Card, you receive it to answer it. For that data (contact details, tattoo ideas, placement, size and, if the user shared it, body measurements) the studio is responsible under data-protection law in its own right. Use it only to answer, plan and carry out the tattoo the user asked about, keep it only as long as needed, protect it, do not pass it on or use it for advertising, and delete it when the user asks and no legal duty says otherwise. Body measurements and skin pictures can be sensitive data: treat them with extra care.
Legal duties of the studio
You are responsible for complying with the law that applies to your studio and its work — for example age limits and consent for tattoos, hygiene and health rules, licences and registrations, advertising and price rules, and the information you must publish about your business. Do not accept requests you are not allowed to carry out, and do not use Ink-It to arrange work on minors without the consents the law requires.
Content and reviews
What you publish (listing texts, pictures, replies) must be true, must not infringe anyone’s rights and must not be unlawful, hateful or misleading. You may answer reviews factually and politely. Do not offer benefits for reviews, do not write or buy reviews for your own studio or against competitors, and do not try to find out who wrote a rating that is not public. You can report a review that breaks the rules; it is then hidden for up to 14 days while the Ink-It team checks it, and repeated unfounded reports can be refused. Reviews on Ink-It are not checked for whether the person really was a customer; this is shown to users.
Calendar feed
A calendar feed link is a secret: anyone who has it can read the appointments in it. Share it only with your own calendar tools and renew it if it might have been seen by others. Connecting an outside calendar for busy times means Ink-It fetches that calendar’s link; only connect calendars you are allowed to connect.
Promotion and partner labels
Paid promotion is always labelled as “Sponsored”, partner status as “Ink-It Partner”. Ink-It may change how promotion is shown and does not promise a number of views or requests.
Fair use
Do not misuse the service: no spam or bulk contact with users, no scraping, no attempts to break or bypass protections, no false claims of ownership, no impersonation. Ink-It may limit use that puts the service or other users at risk.
Removal and ending
Ink-It may hide content, take a listing’s account link away or close a studio account if these terms are broken, the claim turns out to be false, or the law requires it — normally after telling you why, unless that would not be responsible. You can close your studio account or ask to unlink a studio at any time by writing to support; appointment requests and Ink-Cards you received stay with you as their recipient and are then your responsibility.
Liability
Ink-It is provided as it is and can be interrupted, changed or discontinued. Ink-It is not liable for slight negligence, except for injury to life, body or health, breach of essential duties or where the law does not allow a limit. Ink-It is not liable for what studios and users agree or do among themselves, or for the content studios publish. A studio frees Ink-It from claims by third parties that arise from the studio’s content or its breach of these terms, as far as the law allows.
Changes
Ink-It may change these terms — for example when features or the law change. Studio accounts are told about material changes in the app, and a new version has to be accepted for new claims; if you don’t agree with a change you can close your account.
